The team at Elder Law Associates PA participates in an optional charitable giving program each year. For the first half of 2020, the staff has raised $1,187 for our selected charity, Healthy Moms and Healthy Babies.
Our staff members can purchase assorted candy and snacks in the office throughout the year, with the proceeds going to support our selected charity. In addition, employees can donate $5 per week for the opportunity to wear jeans on Friday, with the entire amount going directly to our selected charity. Last year, the staff raised more than $2,000 for our selected charities, Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee and the Lupus Foundation.
Every six months, our staff members submit their favorite charities or organizations that are near and dear to their hearts for consideration, and the team pulls the name of our next recipient out of a hat. Some of our other past recipients for our charitable giving program are the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization, Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum, Junior Achievement of South Florida and many others. The staff has selected the local South Florida chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation as the recipient of our fundraising for the second half of 2020. The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (https://www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org/) is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. One of our staff members recommended the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. The team looks forward to supporting this very worthy cause over the next six months.
